As we authors now, Writer's Block is one of the most annoying facts of creation! At first, you feel like all charged up and ready to go! Then the next minute, you're like an engine that's running low on fuel. It literally feels like you're hitting a solid brick wall...
I've found a few ways to help this ailment common among authors. Maybe these will help! If you have discovered other methods, please post them here! Your idea(s) could save the life of an innocent fanfiction and keep their poor author-parents going!- Listening to music: Listen to music that closely corresponds to the type of (fan)fiction you're writing. If it's romantic, play a love song. If it's comedic, listen to a parody..etc. etc.
- Meditate: Maybe your brain is just overloading. Give it a break and meditate.
- Daydreaming: Some of the best works of art, literature or visually, are usually borne from our imaginations. Let it wander!
- Take a walk: Go somewhere calming to draw inspiration.
- Draw from past experiences: Why not use some of your life experiences in your fanfiction? Remembering your first love, or maybe your current problems. It gives it a more personal touch.
- Dreams: Take up the habit of writing down your dreams...Maybe you can use it in your fanfiction writing!
